The Week of Atom in Ust-Kamenogorsk city

October 1 through 4, for the purpose of popularizing the science, innovative technologies and technical education, raising ecological competence and reducing radiophobia level as well as disseminating basic knowledge and forming a positive attitude towards the atomic branch, there are meetings for schoolchildren in different places of Ust-Kamenogorsk city arranged by joint efforts of the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan, МО JSC “Ulba ironworks” and IRSE NNC RK:

• Central library;
• Palace of young people;
• Ulba ironworks museum.

There were movies “Atom encyclopedia» and “Creators of the atomic age” shown, informative activities carried out by the Information Center for Atomic Energy познавательные активности от ИЦАЭ, technical tours held to museums of Ulba ironworks, JSC “Ulba Ironworks”, the Institute of higher education and a trip was arranged for children accompanied by a dosimetrist и проведен дозиметрический поход. Staff members of the Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology demonstrated the “Interactive STS map”, “Virtual tours to STS”, “Information poster”.
