“Lomonosov 2018” conference report

Between April 20 and 21, 2018 the Kazakhstani branch of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in Astana city held ХIV “Lomonosov–2018” international scientific conference for students, master students and young scientists dedicated to Astana’s 20th anniversary. To participate in this conference young scientists from different countries of the world submitted over 450 abstracts. 154 nominees made oral presentations in the event. The plenary session took place in seven breakup groups. Young scientists from the branch IRSE NNC RK made 4 oral presentations in the breakup group “Regional ecological problems: up-to-date methods and approaches” on the following subjects:
  • Lifetime evaluation of strontium-90 content in bone tissue кof farm animals” (Symbat Baigazy);
  • “Assessment of rehabilitation efficiency in the radioactively contaminated territory by ploughing” (Tokzhan Baiserkenova);
  • “Research into distribution of radionuclide contamination in natural STS lakes” (Ainur Mamyrbayeva);
  • “Research into conditions of contaminated water formed in the territory of the test site” (Togzhan Toktaganov).
Following speeches a competitress, Ainur Mamyrbayeva who represented branch IRSE was awarded a title of winner at ХIV “Lomonosov–2018” international scientific conference for students, master students and young scientists, and the first place diploma was presented to her at the final plenary meeting. The organizing committee noted a high level of competence of scientists from the National Nuclear Center. Our nominees’ papers aroused a profound interest in the jury and attendees. Organizers expressed their wish and invited young scientists to annually participate in the conference.
