The institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology of RSE NNC K congratulates Azhar Zh. Tashekova, a team lead for reference standard development and certification, on the academic title conferred – an associate professor in scientific line 10500 – Biological Sciences. A respective order by the Chairperson of the Science and Higher Education Quality Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 422 dated April 12, 2024 is published at the website.
Ms. Tashekova has been employed by the branch ‘Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology’ of RSE NNC RK since 2012 to this day. In 2013, at the session of the Thesis Board D220.048.03 under the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education (FSBEI HPE) ‘Novosibirsk State Agrarian University’ (Novosibirsk c.), she successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis majoring in ‘Ecology’ taking a degree of the Candidate of Biological Sciences. In 2017, Ms. Tashekova underwent a procedure that the academic degree of the Candidate of Biological Sciences is recognized to be equivalent to the Russian Federation’s Ph.D.
The main lines of her research activity – formation mechanisms of the elemental composition of aquatic ecosystems, a biogeochemical estimate of the urban environment, the development of reference standards containing radionuclides and elements. Authored and coauthored over 35 scientific publications.
