Online seminar within the frame of the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia

On November 5 and 6, 2020 an online workshop is being held as part of the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) in the field of peaceful use of nuclear technologies. The Forum is dedicated to research into climatic changes, which is undertaken all over the world using isotope techniques. This plays an important role in the peaceful nuclear capacity building. Participants of the climatic project are Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam. The National Nuclear Center RK, which in this event acts as a national coordinator for this subject matter from Kazakhstan, is represented by the staff member of the branch ‘Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology’, head of the Department for Environmental Monitoring Systems Development, Oxana Lyakhova. The workshop involves reports of countries on the main achievements and problems in the field of climatic research as well as discussions of the research plant of climatic changes for 2021. The workshop being held furthers sharing experience and effective cooperation between member countries in order to elaborate an effective strategy for climate research.
