XIX International workshop for young specialists on the subject ‘Kazakhstan’s nuclear capacity’

On December 15, XIX International workshop for young specialists on the subject ‘Kazakhstan’s nuclear capacity’ annually arranged by the association ‘Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan’ was held in Astana city. The branch ‘IRSE’ RSE NNC RK was actively involved in the section ‘Matters of radioecology and geophysics’ with oral presentations delivered by: D.B. Biyakhmetova on the subject ‘Utilization of biological dosimetry techniques to assess the individual absorbed dose in an acute and chronic exposure scenario’ and I.A. Bachurina on the subject ‘Electronic library of scientific proceedings by the Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology’. Papers by young specialists were also presented in focus areas such as ‘Development of a uranium mining industry’ and ‘Problems in nuclear energy and physics’. Thanks to the format arranged and the active involvement of attendees, workshop participants managed to discuss all the matters presented at the event fully.
