International symposium ‘7th International Symposium on the System of Radiological Protection’ (ICRP-2023)

November 6 through 9, 2023 an International symposium ‘7th International Symposium on the System of Radiological Protection’ (ICRP-2023) was held in Tokyo c. (Japan). The symposium was attended by scientists from the branch ‘IRSE’ of RSE ‘NNC RK’ – Dina Biyakhmetova, Laura Kenzhina, Andrey Panitskiy, Yelena Polivkina and Yelena Syssoyeva who delivered their presentations under grant funding projects of Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK) and international NATO Project SPS985684.

The main subject of ICRP-2023 was ‘Evolution of radiological protection: science and more’, the main goal – to study the global experience in radiological protection, dosimetry, sustainable environmental development, radioecology, radiological emergency response and other fields.

In addition to presentations delivered, a work meeting was held among NATO Project SPS985684 participants at which information on project outputs was shared, a final report plan was prepared and the next meeting in Rome was discussed.
