Congratulations on the academic title awarded!

Congratulations to a chief of the radioecological and biogeochemical research laboratory of the branch ‘Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology’ of RSE NNC RK Yelena N. Polivkina on an academic title awarded – an associate professor in scientific line 10500 – Biological Sciences. A relevant order from the chair of the Quality Assurance Committee in the field of science and higher education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 539 dated 6/19/2024 ‘On awarding an academic title’ is posted on the website.

Ms Yelena N. Polivkina has been employed by the branch ‘Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology’ of RSE NNC RK since 2016 to this day.

In 2006, she defended her Ph.D. thesis in Barnaul c. (RF) majoring in ‘Ecology’ taking the degree of a Candidate of Biological Sciences. In 2009, Ms Polivkina underwent a procedure for the recognition of the academic degree of a Candidate of Biological Sciences taken in the Russian Federation as being equivalent to that of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In recent years, with herself involved or under her guidance, research into the migration of man-made radionuclides in the ‘soil-to-water-to-air-to-plants’ system has been undertaken.
