Cooperation with Altai State Agrarian University

February 15 through 16, 2018 there was a round-table discussion “Problems in rational nature management, ecology, land cadastral valuation and monitoring” held in Barnaul city, RF, in Altai State Agrarian University under XIII international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Altai State Agrarian University. Upon invitation of organizers, the event was attended by specialists from out Institute Sayan Salmenbayev and Nurlan Mukhamediyarov who made oral presentations on the subjects: “A method to determine the content of samarium — 151 isotope in radioactively contaminated soils of Semipalatinsk Test Site” and “Chemical composition of water and bottom sediments in Uzynbulak creek”. In the final part of the meeting the round-table workshop supervisor L.A. Bekhovykh noted a high level of work presented by the team of young scientists of the Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology , National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Communication between Institute’s specialists and the University began in 2015 and from year to year it becomes closer. Currently, there are 15 people doing postgraduate studies, master’s course and undergraduate studies in this educational institution. In 2017, two of Institute’s employees took Master’s degrees with honours majoring in “Environmental engineering and water resources management”. Our young scientists repeatedly participated in conferences arranged by Altai University where a high level of competence was always noted.
