FNCA online meeting dedicated to researches of climatic changes using nuclear and isotopic methods

Within the frame of the Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA) on the 3rd and the 4th of March of this year, an online meeting dedicated to researches of climatic changes using nuclear and isotopic methods was conducted. In addition to main reports related to the main subject «Nuclear isotopic technologies and climate changes» the following issues were considered at three sessions: «Water ecosystem», «Terrestrial ecosystem» and «Food safety and agriculture». The meeting was attended by 40 representatives of different countries from all around the world: Japan, Australia, Slovakia, China, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Vietnam. The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by the employees of the branch «Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology» of the RSE NNC RK headed by the branch director, A.O. Aidarkhanov. The head of the Department for Development of Environmental Monitoring Systems, O.N. Lyakhova presented the report titled «Development of researches of climatic changes in Kazakhstan»
