XV Workshop “Nuclear Capacity of Kazakhstan” for young scientists, February 18-19, 2019

The association “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan” annually organizes the workshop “Nuclear Capacity of Kazakhstan” for young scientists of nuclear enterprises. On February 18-19, 2019 XV Workshop “Nuclear Capacity of Kazakhstan” for young scientists took place in Almaty city as part of II Congress of Veterans of the RK Atomic Silence, Energy and Industry. Upon invitation of organizer, the workshop was attended by IRSE staff members – an engineer of the laboratory for nuclear and physical methods of analysis Toporova Anna and a specialist of the Bureau of Scientific and Technical Information Kairzhanov Amir. These staff members presented their reports on the following subjects: “Interactive map of Semipalatinsk Test Site. Development, application and development prospects” and “Assessment of internal exposure doses for personnel using HS SERRS and ICRP recommendations” The workshop program included II Congress of Veterans of the RK Atomic Science, Energy and Industry, 4 breakup groups and about 35 oral presentations. This workshop “Nuclear Capacity of Kazakhstan” is a good opportunity for the youth working in the field of atomic energy and nuclear physics, radioecology and uranium industry to be introduced to activities and the main focus areas of enterprises, to share experience and opinions. A technical tour to RSE INP ME RK was also arranged for participants and guests of the workshop. Young specialists from participated in the workshop such enterprises as “Kazatomprom-SaUran”, “Semizbai-U” Ltd., JSC “UMZ”, “MAEC-Kazatomprom”, JSC “Volkovgeologiya”, “IVT” Ltd., JSC “KRK JV “Zarechnoye”, JSC “JV “Akbastau”, “JV “UGHK”, Al-Farabi KazNU, RSE NNC RK and RSE INP RK.
