On October 28, 2019, as part of the program of a stay, UN representatives from Ireland visited the Museum of Semipalatinsk Test Site (STS). February 15 through 22, 2024, employees of branch “Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology” V.V. Bozhko, S.P. Levchenko, and A.V. Toporova took part in the workshop to share experience in predicting public and biota radiation exposure in the vicinity of nuclear power facilities and in contaminated areas.
At all times, the book was and is the best gift. As from 2017 IRSE has conducted a charitable actoion called ‘Book is a source of wisdom, knowledge and science…’. Over three years, more than 1000 book copies have been given to the library of S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University and the branch of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library (Pavlodar city), the East-Kazakhstan A. Pushkin library and the library of the East-Kazakhstan D. Serikbayev State Technical University (Ust-Kamenogorsk city), the library of Shakarim Semipalatinsk State University, the East-Kazakhstan Abai regional universal library (Semey city).
Once again, as part of this action, on October 29 and 30, 2019, IRSE gave over 300 copies of 6 issues called ‘Topical issues in radioecology of Kazakhstan’ in three languages to the East-Kazakhstan D. Serikbayev State Technical University and the East-Kazakhstan A. Pushkin regional library, Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation in EKR of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.
