Visit of delegation of the Belarus State University

As part of the Memorandum Cooperation (Article 1) between EM “A.D. Sakharov International State Ecological Institute” and RSE “National Nuclear Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, from 22 to 26 July, a delegation from the Republic of Belarus was hosted.

The National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan was visited by staff of the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety: Professor A.I. Kievitskaya, Associate Professor O.V. Gusakova and Senior lecturer T.V. Dashkevich. The purpose of visit was to familiarize and exchange scientific experience. According to the visit schedule, the staff of the Belarus State University familiarized with the studies of research reactor “Baikal-1”, reactor facility “Tokamak KTM”, and “Angara”, “Liana”, “EAGLE” stands.

Familiarization tours were organized to the exposition hall of the history of the STS, to the site “Experimental Field” and “Atomic Lake”. In addition, foreign experts had the opportunity to communicate with leading employees of the National Nuclear Center and share knowledge to better understand current projects and research.

We hope that this visit will serve as a basis for further cooperation and strengthening scientific ties between our institutions.
